You're thinking "But Lorraine, you mean you didn't buy any buttons or bits of lace?" Not to worry, of course I did! Here's a picture:

Antiques at Aberfoyle
Yesterday started at 5:15 a.m. when I got up to get ready for a full day of antiquing with some friends. We arrived at the show which is about an hour's drive west of Toronto, all bright-eyed just after 8 a.m.
We saw faded things:
Rusty things |
Pretty chairs in pretty colours |
Nice table setting at Chat Noir. |
Cupcakes that were both pretty and delicious! |
Gorgeous old trunk with the name of one of my favourite Ontario towns. |
I bought this book with maps of old London, England |
Some wonderful old Air Mail envelopes that I scored! |
After about 7 hours at the show, I really did have a Bonne Nuit! |
Thank you for a fun day of hunting and gathering, Cynthia and Colleen!

Recent Getaway with Friends
I was lucky a couple of weekends ago to be able to join some friends at a cottage in Thornbury, a few miles north of Toronto. We stopped for lunch in Violet Hill (pretty name for a village!) then continued on. The first evening we celebrated a friend's birthday with lots of food and bubbly. The next two days included more food, shopping and a friendly game of euchre capped off by a spa visit on Sunday.
Toronto Urban Strolls
In keeping with the Toronto theme of my last two posts, I wanted to share this book that I was excited to find recently, Toronto Urban Strolls. I am looking forward to going on some of these great urban excursions with my friends and my iPhone!
