Queen Victoria Collage

queen victoria

Catching up here and showing you a fabric collage I made recently and gave as a gift. I find it hard to part with items I make and would only consider giving such a gift to a friend who I believe will

appreciate and treasure such an offering.

It’s a bit like writing a story or poem and sharing it with others; You have to trust that the person receiving your creative gift will respect your vulnerability and will have the grace and good manners to acknowledge your efforts even if the article isn’t their ‘thing’.

Meet Barbara and Rosie

My friend, Barbara, sent me a picture of her cat, Rosie, and I had to share it with you. Rosie lives with Barbara amidst vintage fabrics and other amazing goodies. Before Barbara takes her quilts, chenilles, aprons, bark cloth into her shop, she launders and irons everything using an old-fashioned iron; she wears out an iron a year! Her shop is overflowing with eye candy to delight every romantic soul. I get to mind her shop occasionally when she is doing other antique shows and I always have a fun day. I'm going down to her shop this weekend to take some pictures that I'll share with you on Monday. In the meantime, you can see some of her current eBay offerings here.
