I found out from Dawn of The Feathered Nest that it's International Button Week as declared by
Abbie of Button Floozies. Just what I needed to bring me out of my great, long blogging lapse! Dawn wrote an ode to buttons that you'll see on her blog when you visit there.

It's so good to see you post!!!! I LOVE your button collection! I can tell I would enjoy looking through them all ~ what a wonderful quote from Victoria. I think I remember reading it there too ~ xxoo, Dawn
thanks for visiting my blog x
wow i love your colection of mother-of-pearl buttons - they're my favourites in the button kingdom!
Hello~ Thanks for visiting my blog. Here is the info you asked for~ the button picture was in Country Living Holidays 2004 and the tree on the porch picture was in Country Living Holidays 2005. Hope this helps! ~Mandy
WOW! I love your button stash! Especially the square mother of pearls - really unique. I recently embellished a thrift store men's blazer with some of my favorite buttons. I'm trying not to wear it EVERYwhere, but it's so much fun to have those special buttons right on the front of my coat! Thanks for sharing some of your favorites, I'm inspired to take pictures of my own to post.
Hi there - I am searching for the whereabouts of Barb Griffin and Kelly Stapleton who are both mentioned here on your blog/website. My name is Sandy Neilly, editor of the Wayback Times, and I am publishing an article on chenille by columnist Hyla Fox from a year or two ago. I would like to confirm that Barb and Kelly are both still in the vintage textile business. I can't find any further info on them.
I hope you don't mind me posting this here.
Thanks for your time!
Sandy Neilly
Hello Sandy,
Yes, Kelly and Barbara are still very much in business. I would be happy to provide more details - you can email me directly by clicking on the View My Complete Profile then clicking the Email Me link on the left-hand side.
Hi there. i just love your the little 50's button cards. Did you do them yourself? i would love to display my 'singleton' favorite buttons like that.
Hi ButtonCandy (love that name!) Not sure if you mean the cards with the women and the buttons? I did make those ones; they're from rubber stamps which I stamped onto luggage tags and then sewed the buttons on. The stamps are from a company called B-Line Stamps - they have tons of wonderful stamp designs!
