Yesterday, I had an errand uptown
(to me, Bloor Street, North of Yonge Street, here in Toronto, is ‘Uptown’),
so I got off the subway at Yonge and St Clair
and walked south to Bloor Street.
At one point, I had a Paris flashback!
Doesn’t that wrought iron gate look like one from the streets of Paris? And the beautiful plants and brightly painted doorways below? Apologies for the slightly blurry photos, they were taken with my cell phone.
When I got to Bloor Street, I made a detour over to Yorkville
and went into the Anthropologie store – nice!
I got this book which I love and a membership card
which they put in the little cloth bag-the card and bag were free.
They are going to send me a catalog every month – love that!
I haven’t even had a chance to look through this book yet but from what a saw, it’s a book that makes your head spin with new ideas on how to use and display your stuff!!

If you think north of Bloor is Uptown, I can't imagine what you call Aurora, where I live. We look forward to moving uptown when my daughter goes off to university next year. Your photos make me wish it was sooner.
Very pretty. Yes..if you squint it could be Paris!
Lovely pictures. My brother-in-law lives just out of Toronto.
I so wanted to get that book from Anthropologie this summer. I kept picking it up and putting it down. I just didn't want pack anything else away in our luggage as we were heading back to Q8. Really wish I would have gotten it.
Enjoy! And best wishes, Tammy
Tammy, I just love this book and I debated with myself on it because of the price but I have no regrets.
I understand why you didn't want to pack it in your luggage - it is a weighty book! Does Amazon or other bookstore ship to your address?
Hi Lorraine...you ve reminded me that getting to Anthropologie was on my "TO DO" list this summer..guess I ve still got a few weeks! Wont see you on Saturday, am also doing the Christie Antique show for the first time! see you soon! Kelly
Lynn - there are some nice shops along Yonge Street. I didn't go north of St Clair but will leave that for another day.
Susan, with a bit of squinting and a bit of winking, I could be convinced that I was in Paris!
Salut!
